Florida football earns national ranking for roster talent entering new season

The Florida Gators football program enters the 2026 season ranked 12th nationally in 247Sports team-talent rankings. The program earned a talent score of 859.91, while the 247Sports Composite ranking places the team 10th with a score of 891.07. This ranking follows significant roster turnover under head coach Jon Sumrall, who added nearly 60 new players including 32 transfers. Despite the high talent evaluation, the program aims to improve upon last year's 4-8 record. Coaches retained key players such as Jadan Baugh, Vernell Brown III, Dallas Wilson, Myles Graham, Jayden Woods, and Ben Hanks III to support the new roster. The Gators face a nine-game SEC schedule that includes 13 teams currently ranked within the top 20.
