Florida football faces Florida Atlantic with several players sidelined

Florida football opens its 2026 season against Florida Atlantic on September 5 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Ahead of kickoff, several Gators players were confirmed to be unavailable for the contest. Freshman wide receiver Davian Groce, defensive lineman Stive-Bently Keumajou-Youndui, and offensive lineman Eager Boyer were observed not dressed for the game. The team enters the matchup in relatively healthy condition overall, despite the absences of these specific roster members for the home opener.
