The Florida Gators prepare to host FCS opponent Campbell at The Swamp on Saturday, September 12. Florida holds a 1-0 record following a 66-21 victory over Florida Atlantic on September 5. Coach Jon Sumrall expressed a need for improved defensive awareness and attention to detail despite the opening win. Quarterback Aaron Philo, who threw for 275 yards and three touchdowns in his debut, will lead the offense alongside running back Jadan Baugh. Wide receiver Vernell Brown III remains a focal point for the passing attack, particularly with the status of Eric Singleton Jr. listed as uncertain due to an ankle injury. This matchup serves as the team's last non-conference game before the Gators open their SEC schedule at Auburn on September 19.
