Florida football releases starting lineup for season-opening game against FAU

The Florida Gators announced their depth chart for the season-opening game against the FAU Owls scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 5, at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Head coach Jon Sumrall confirmed Aaron Philo as the starting quarterback following the conclusion of fall camp. On the offensive front, the team features a starting unit of Bryce Lovett, Knijeah Harris, Harrison Moore, TJ Shanahan Jr., and Emeka Ugorji. The defense will open with a front four consisting of Kamran James, LJ McCray, Brendan Bett, Jeremiah McCloud, and Jayden Woods. Other notable starters include Jadan Baugh at running back and a receiving corps featuring Dallas Wilson, Vernell Brown III, and Eric Singleton Jr. Special teams assignments are set with Patrick Durkin handling kicking duties and Alec Clark serving as the punter. The matchup in the Swamp begins at 7:45 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on the SEC Network.
