Florida Gators name Aaron Philo as starting quarterback for season opener

The Florida Gators have named Aaron Philo their starting quarterback for the upcoming season opener against Florida Atlantic. Philo, a transfer from Georgia Tech, has limited experience but is the all-time leading passer in Georgia high school football history. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound signal-caller overcame Tramel Jones Jr. for the starting position. Philo stated he has a strong dislike for Georgia, having played for both Georgia Tech and Florida, and will have a chance to face the Bulldogs on October 31 in Atlanta. He expressed gratitude for the starting role, emphasizing his dedication to leading Florida's resurgence.
