As the college football season approaches, the Florida Gators have yet to name their starting quarterback for week one against FAU. Aaron Philo is listed as the projected starter and ranks No. 34 among all 68 quarterbacks in the Power Four conferences according to Sports Illustrated. Philo, who started one game for Georgia Tech in 2025, threw for 373 yards with one touchdown and one interception. With an incoming offensive coordinator familiar to him, his transition to the Gators appears smooth. The final decision on the starter has not been confirmed by head coach Jon Sumrall.
