The Gainesville Sun reviewed the performance of Florida Gators teams in the 2025-26 season. The men's basketball team achieved a 27-8 overall record, but faced disappointment after an early exit in the NCAA tournament, despite winning the SEC regular season title. Volleyball finished with a respectable 16-12 record, reaching the second round of the NCAA tournament under new head coach Ryan Theis. In women's cross country, the team had an exceptional year, winning their second conference title in three years. The men's cross country team struggled, failing to qualify for the NCAA Championship, although freshman Kelvin Cheruiyot had notable individual success. Florida's athletic department continues to maintain high expectations.
