Florida Gators women finish second at NCAA outdoor championships

The Florida Gators women's track and field team secured second place at the NCAA Outdoor Championships held on June 13. They accumulated 43 points, marking their fourth time as national runners-up and their eighth top-five finish since 2010. Alida van Daalen highlighted the event by winning the national title in the discus with a record throw of 216 feet, 6 inches. Coach Mike Holloway praised the team's dedication throughout the competition. Other notable performances included Gabrielle Matthews, who earned All-American honors in both the 100 meters and 200 meters, and several teammates who also achieved All-American finishes in various events.
