Florida identified as frontrunner for 2028 DL prospect Josiah Taylor

Florida Gators have emerged as the early favorite to recruit Josiah Taylor, a defensive lineman from Vero Beach, Florida. Taylor, 6-foot-4 and 315 pounds, has publicly declared Florida as his leader after they offered him a spot following a camp in June. Florida's defensive line coach Gerald Chatman, alongside assistant coach Jeremy Patterson, has been instrumental in developing a relationship with the sophomore player, who had 34 tackles and two sacks last season. Florida expects Taylor to visit again for upcoming games. Other contenders in his recruitment include Auburn, Florida State, and Georgia.
