Florida Panthers acquire Brady Tkachuk following Senators playoff exit

Brady Tkachuk has been traded to the Florida Panthers after the Ottawa Senators were eliminated in the first round by the Carolina Hurricanes. The Senators faced questions about Tkachuk’s future with the team, particularly after reports emerged that he would not sign an extension. Insiders suggest that external factors, including a call from President Donald Trump after the 2026 Olympics, may have influenced the trade. With Tkachuk now playing alongside his brother Matthew, the Panthers aim to improve on their lackluster previous season. The team appears poised for renovations heading into the upcoming season, potentially making additional moves as the summer continues.
