Florida Panthers begin training camp as preseason schedule approaches

The Florida Panthers are scheduled to report for physicals this Wednesday, marking the official start of their preparations for the upcoming NHL season. On-ice training camp practices begin Thursday in Fort Lauderdale under a shortened schedule necessitated by current league rules. The team is set to play four preseason games, beginning with a match against the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday, Sept. 20, at Amerant Bank Arena. Coach Paul Maurice indicated that primary roster players are expected to feature in the home preseason games against the Carolina Hurricanes and the Tampa Bay Lightning. All four exhibition contests will be broadcast on the Scripps local network and available for free via the Panthers Plus streaming service. The team begins their regular season campaign against the Carolina Hurricanes on Sept. 29 in Raleigh.
