Florida Panthers roster depth players sign elsewhere after injury-riddled season

The Florida Panthers led the NHL with 540 man-games lost to injury last season, forcing the team to rely heavily on depth players and AHL call-ups. While the club fell out of playoff contention, these peripheral players received significant playing time to showcase their skills for league scouts. Several athletes who saw extended roles have since secured contracts with other NHL organizations this offseason. Daniil Tarasov signed with Detroit, while Mike Benning joined the Calgary Flames. Additionally, Vinnie Hinostroza signed with Colorado, and Wilmer Skoog, Jack Studnicka, and Nolan Foote moved to new teams. The Panthers maintained roster continuity with some personnel, signing Cole Schwindt to a two-year contract and retaining Donovan Sebrango on a one-year deal.
