Florida softball adds LSU All-American Tori Edwards as transfer

Summary

Florida Gators softball has reportedly secured the transfer of Tori Edwards from LSU. Edwards, a redshirt junior and First Team All-American, entered the transfer portal on June 2. During her first full season at LSU in 2025, she set a program record with an.802 slugging percentage and hit 18 home runs. However, her performance dipped in 2026 to a.284 batting average with 12 home runs. Edwards joins Florida as its second transfer acquisition for the 2026 season, providing infield depth after several key departures from the roster. Her primary position at first base might be challenged due to existing players at that position on the Gators' roster.
