Florida State defensive coordinator Tony White names week zero award winners

Florida State defensive coordinator Tony White announced the team's defensive awards following a 34-17 win against New Mexico State. Defensive back Quindarrius Jones earned defensive player of the game honors after recording an interception on the opening drive and a pass breakup. Deante McCray received the defensive lineman of the game award, while Chris Jones and Mikai Gbayor were recognized for their physicality and effort, respectively.
