Florida State extends offer to Syracuse commit Omari Lawson

Florida State has extended a scholarship offer to 2028 four-star offensive lineman Omari Lawson. Currently committed to Syracuse, the Jacksonville native is now expected to visit the Seminoles in the near future. Lawson previously considered a visit to Florida State for the season opener against New Mexico State but shifted his plans to focus on his relationship with the Syracuse coaching staff. Despite his existing pledge to the Orange, Florida State continues its pursuit of the in-state recruit. Lawson is ranked as the 119th overall prospect and 14th offensive tackle in the nation. In addition to his upcoming visit to Florida State, he maintains plans to visit Syracuse during the season and has also received an offer from the Florida Gators.
