Florida State hosts prospect DJ Washington during game against SMU

Florida State will host 2029 four-star edge prospect DJ Washington on Monday night for the team's matchup against the SMU Mustangs. The Seminoles recently extended a scholarship offer to the 6-foot-3, 225-pound Booker T. Washington High School player. Washington, ranked as the nation's No. 33 prospect and No. 5 edge by 247Sports, intends to use the visit to meet with the coaching staff. This trip marks his first time visiting the Tallahassee campus. Florida State faces competition for his commitment from several programs, including the Miami Hurricanes, Florida Gators, and Texas A&M Aggies. Washington has recorded 15 tackles and 1.5 sacks through two games in his sophomore season following a freshman campaign that included 22 tackles and two sacks.
