Florida State players receive high Pro Football Focus grades after SMU loss

Following a 27-24 loss to SMU, five Florida State players received high marks from Pro Football Focus for their individual performance. Safety Ashlynd Barker earned the team's top overall grade at 82.7, contributing two pressures and strong coverage. Cornerback Quindarrius Jones followed with a 75.0 grade after forcing a fumble and showing strong run-defense, while defensive back Nehemiah Chandler recorded an interception. On the offensive side, left tackle Xavier Chaplin earned a 72.6 grade across 69 snaps, leading a unit that rushed for 199 yards. Running back Ousmane Kromah rounded out the top five with 116 rushing yards and one touchdown on 22 carries. Florida State currently holds a 1-1 overall record and remains 0-1 in ACC play after the narrow defeat.
