Florida State prepares for upcoming ACC game against ranked SMU

Florida State moves its focus to a Labor Day matchup against No. 19 SMU following a 34-17 season-opening victory over New Mexico State. Head coach Mike Norvell is scheduled to review the performance against the Aggies and discuss the upcoming conference contest during a press conference on Tuesday. The game against the Mustangs is slated for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff on September 7 at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee. Florida State holds a 1-0 record entering this meeting with the ranked opponent. A victory would provide the Seminoles an early advantage in the ACC standings and carry momentum into a bye week. The team continues its preparation as it aims to improve its defensive performance to meet established program standards.
