Florida State signs transfer forward Sebastian Rancik from Colorado

Florida State men's basketball added junior forward Sebastian Rancik to its roster following his transfer from the University of Colorado. Coaching staff members traveled to Slovakia to finalize the recruitment of the 6-foot-11 player, who is expected to anchor the team's stretch-four offensive sets. During his final season at Colorado, Rancik averaged 12.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. He previously tested the professional draft process before deciding to return to the college level with the Seminoles. The team, which reached a top-10 ranking for its transfer portal class, aims to utilize his perimeter shooting and defensive mobility this season. Florida State opens its 2026-27 schedule on November 2 against Florida A&M University at the Orion180 Tip-Off Classic in Tampa.
