Florida State updates injury statuses ahead of SMU game

Florida State prepares for an ACC matchup against No. 19 SMU on Monday at Doak Campbell Stadium. Head coach Mike Norvell provided status updates for several players following the team's Week 0 game against New Mexico State. Wide receiver Tae'Shaun Gelsey is listed as probable for the upcoming contest after missing the previous game. True freshman wide receiver Devin Carter remains questionable due to a back injury, with staff continuing to monitor his condition. The secondary faces uncertainty as well, with cornerback Chuck Kennon and safety Jordan Crutchfield working through injuries that limited their availability last week. Norvell indicated the staff is evaluating their progress throughout the week to determine if they will be available to play against the Mustangs.
