Flyers announce roster cuts ahead of preseason opener

The Philadelphia Flyers have made significant roster changes following training camp practices and a scrimmage, ahead of their first preseason game on Monday. On Saturday, the team cut forwards Brady Berard, Alex Ciernik, Devin Kaplan, Owen McLaughlan, Ilya Pautov, and Zayde Wisdom, along with defensemen Jackson Edward and Andrew Perrott, sending them to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms training camp. Additionally, several players were loaned back to their junior clubs, trimming the camp roster to 42 players. The Flyers must finalize their roster at 23 before the season starts in ten days.
