Football Association of Ireland withdraws support for Gianni Infantino
Summary

The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) has retracted its support for Gianni Infantino's FIFA presidency candidacy, informed by recent governance concerns. The FAI expressed its gratitude for FIFA's funding for grassroots football but cited issues around governance and consultation. This decision reflects growing dissent among European federations, such as England and Wales, which have also voiced their discontent with Infantino's administration.
