Football Association overturns red cards for Jenson Metcalfe and Josh Sheehan

Millwall midfielder Jenson Metcalfe and Bolton player Josh Sheehan have had their red cards overturned following a successful appeal against wrongful dismissal. Both players were sent off during a weekend clash between their clubs which resulted in a 4-0 win for Millwall. The dismissals occurred late in the match after an on-field altercation involving players from both squads. Following the appeal, the three-match bans previously assigned to both athletes have been rescinded. Metcalfe is now eligible for the Millwall squad facing Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup third round on Tuesday. Similarly, Sheehan is cleared to return for Bolton in their upcoming Championship fixture against West Ham scheduled for the same evening.
