Football medical exams assess player health before transfers

Summary

A football medical is a key process for players signing with new clubs, assessing their overall health and identifying any potential issues. The exam can last up to six hours and includes various tests such as physical examinations, cardiovascular assessments, and neurological evaluations. The results are analyzed by the buying club's medical team to determine whether to proceed with the transfer. Recently, Ederson's proposed move to Manchester United fell through due to his medical results. Other instances include Kurt Zouma and Jean-Philippe Mateta, both of whom experienced medical-related issues that halted their transfers.
