Ford has finalized 1,000 kilometers of track testing for its new hypercar entry at the Paul Ricard circuit in France. The development process included a successful shakedown and three consecutive days of on-track running. Designed using an ORECA chassis to comply with LMDh regulations, the vehicle incorporates proprietary Ford bodywork, aerodynamics, and engine components. This milestone follows the initial ignition of the car at the ORECA workshops just weeks prior. The project aims to prepare the vehicle for a competitive debut in the 2027 FIA World Endurance Championship season. Ford currently competes in the WEC GT3 category with the Ford Mustang while continuing development of the new prototype.
