Former Florida State kicker Roberto Aguayo earns all-century team honors

USA TODAY Sports recently named former Florida State kicker Roberto Aguayo to its all-2000s college football team. The selection panel, consisting of more than 10 writers and editors, recognized Aguayo as the top kicker from the first 25 seasons of the century. During his time in Tallahassee from 2013 to 2015, Aguayo scored 405 points and maintained a perfect record on all 198 extra-point attempts. He also converted 69 of 78 field goals and never missed a field goal from inside 40 yards. His performance during the 2013 national championship season included a Lou Groza Award-winning campaign where he set the NCAA single-season record for points by a kicker with 157. Aguayo currently holds the NCAA record for career field goal and extra-point conversion percentage at 96.73%.
