Former Georgia long snapper Beau Gardner makes the Chicago Bears roster

Former Georgia Bulldogs long snapper Beau Gardner earned a spot on the Chicago Bears active roster following the team's final cuts. Gardner secured the position after competing against Luke Elkin during the preseason. The Bears signed the 2025 Patrick Mannelly Award winner as an undrafted free agent earlier this year. He joins a special teams unit that includes kicker Cairo Santos and punter Tory Taylor. Gardner played three seasons at UCLA before transferring to Georgia for his final college seasons, where he earned first-team All-American honors in 2025. He is currently one of two former Georgia players on the Chicago roster, alongside running back D'Andre Swift.
