A U.S. District Court judge ruled that players from the 2022 recruiting class who completed four years of eligibility can receive a fifth year under NCAA guidelines. Former Kentucky linebacker Alex Afari may take advantage of this ruling to return to the Wildcats. Afari had an accomplished career at Kentucky, recording 193 tackles and 6 sacks. He went undrafted this year but attended the Green Bay Packers camp this summer. The Wildcats currently have young, inexperienced players at linebacker and could benefit from Afari's experience. The NCAA plans to appeal the decision soon.
