Former Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe receives community order for assaulting former partner

Croydon Magistrates’ Court sentenced former Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe to a 12-month community order following an assault on his former partner. The 30-year-old athlete pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm after an incident on December 14 outside a residence in Lambeth. The court heard that Ibe grabbed the arm and hair of Amie Mayson, pulling out a braid during an argument. In addition to the community order, Ibe must complete 80 hours of unpaid work and 27 days of rehabilitation activity. The court also ordered the footballer to pay £764 in fines and costs. Ibe, who has represented clubs including Derby County, Birmingham City, AFC Bournemouth, and most recently Lokomotiv Sofia, expressed remorse for his actions during the hearing.
