Former Somerset Patriots standout Mike Fransoso coaches Yankees prospects

Mike Fransoso, a former All-Star outfielder for the Somerset Patriots, currently serves as the team's Double-A hitting coach. Following a seven-year professional playing career, Fransoso transitioned into coaching, including a five-year stint within the Seattle Mariners organization. He returned to the Somerset franchise at the start of last season to work under the New York Yankees affiliation. Under his guidance, the Somerset hitters have produced a league-leading 187 home runs and rank second in the Eastern League for total hits and RBIs. Fransoso emphasizes a supportive, long-term approach to player development, focusing on individual skill sets and consistent daily improvement to help prospects reach the major leagues. He continues to work with the team at TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater.
