Former Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin discusses post-coaching life

Eight months after resigning from the Pittsburgh Steelers, former head coach Mike Tomlin says he is focusing on wellness and spending time with his family. Tomlin disclosed on the Dan Patrick Show that he recently attended a family reunion for the first time since 1997. His coaching career previously required him to be at training camp during the third week of July every year. Tomlin, who finished his tenure with a 193-114-2 record, retired with time remaining on his contract. He is transitioning into a broadcasting role this fall as an analyst for NBC’s Football Night in America. While he stepped away from the sidelines, Pittsburgh retains his coaching rights through the 2027 season should he choose to return to the NFL.
