Former tennis players Bryan and Lisa Shelton support son Ben at US Open

Ben Shelton continues his professional tennis career with his parents, Bryan Shelton and Lisa Shelton, providing support as he competes in his sixth US Open. Both parents are former professional players who helped shape Ben’s development in the sport. Bryan transitioned from a professional career on the ATP Tour to collegiate coaching, where he eventually coached Ben at the University of Florida before stepping down from that role in 2023. While Ben initially showed little interest in tennis as a child, focusing instead on his pursuits as a quarterback, he eventually shifted his focus to the sport his parents played. Bryan now serves as Ben’s full-time coach as the young athlete advances through professional tournaments. Ben’s sister, Emma, is also part of the family that has been involved in the sport for decades.
