Former Toronto Blue Jays catchers Rod Barajas and Candy Maldonado celebrate birthdays

Outside of his tenure in Toronto, Maldonado earned induction into both the Caribbean Baseball Hall of Fame and the Puerto Rico Hall of Fame.
