Former UFC fighter Diego Sanchez faces drunk driving charges in New Mexico

Retired UFC fighter Diego Sanchez was arrested and detained on Monday in Soccoro County, New Mexico, on suspicion of driving under the influence. Court records indicate he is charged with aggravated DUI, specifically for a blood alcohol level exceeding 0.16. Sanchez also faces a charge for a probation violation. This arrest follows a 2025 guilty plea regarding a weapon-related charge, for which he received five years of supervised probation. A condition of that probation required him to abstain from alcohol consumption. Sanchez remains in custody at the Soccoro County Jail, and no bond has been set for his release as of this afternoon.
