Former UFC fighter Marlon Moraes handles physical traffic stop in Florida

Former UFC bantamweight Marlon Moraes, now a police officer in Coral Springs, Florida, became involved in a physical altercation during a traffic stop earlier this week. The incident escalated when the driver began acting aggressively toward Moraes and other officers on the scene. After the driver challenged the officer and stepped toward him, Moraes brought the individual to the ground. Moraes served as a bantamweight champion for the World Series of Fighting before joining the UFC in 2017. He later transitioned to the Professional Fighters League for three bouts before retiring from professional competition. Since April, he has served as a member of the local police department.
