Former UTSA football player Jacob Graner dies at age 28

Jacob Graner, a former offensive lineman for the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), passed away unexpectedly at his home in Jasper, Georgia, on September 16, 2026, at the age of 28. Graner, who played for the Roadrunners from 2016 to 2019, participated in 13 games, starting at right guard in notable victories during his junior year. He is survived by his wife, Natalie, and two sons, Elijah and Mason. The family is holding visitations at Roper Funeral Home, with a Catholic Mass scheduled for Saturday morning.
