Formula 1 integrates Madrid football clubs into Spanish Grand Prix weekend

Formula 1 returns to Madrid for the first time in 45 years this weekend at the inaugural Madring circuit. Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid serve as official Local Event Supporters for the race. Real Madrid City borders the northern section of the new 5.4km track, with the club's training facilities incorporated into Grand Prix operations. Meanwhile, the Riyadh Air Metropolitano will function as a central hub for fan experiences and concerts throughout the event. Drivers Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz maintain long-standing ties to Real Madrid, with both previously receiving honorary memberships from the club. Carlos Sainz, a Madrid native, participated as a circuit ambassador and completed a demonstration lap earlier this year.
