The season will also feature races in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi, each with long-term hosting contracts. Bahrain will host preseason testing in February. This year, races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia were canceled due to the Iran war. The 2027 schedule includes an increase in sprint races, with Monaco set to host the first ever sprint race during its Grand Prix. The Portimao circuit in Portugal returns in June, and the Turkish Grand Prix returns in October after a five-year contract was signed.
