Four Jackson State football players gain temporary eligibility before opener

The players filed a lawsuit against the NCAA on August 24, seeking an additional year of eligibility after being excluded under the NCAA's new age-based model. The temporary restraining order lasts for 10 days and prevents the NCAA from penalizing the players or the university regarding their participation. Jackson State's home opener is on September 5 against Edward Waters.
