Four Portland-area football prospects commit to the Oregon 2027 recruiting class

The University of Oregon football program secured commitments from four high school players in the Portland area for the 2027 recruiting cycle. Josiah Molden of West Linn initiated the group with his commitment on April 12. Malachi Garlington from Nelson and George VanSandt of Central Catholic followed on June 8, and Lake Oswego’s Josh Christensen committed on June 18. This group represents the highest concentration of local talent joining the Ducks in a single class since at least 2011. The recruits expressed an intention to prioritize representing their home state while continuing to compete against one another during their remaining high school seasons. The quartet currently plans to transition to playing as teammates for the program after their final year of high school eligibility concludes.
