Four UND players participate in NHL Combine ahead of Draft

Keaton Verhoeff and Carson Carels, defensemen from the University of North Dakota (UND), are attending the NHL Combine in Buffalo, N.Y., this week. Both players are projected to be selected in the top 10 of the upcoming NHL Draft later this month. Also invited are UND recruits Ethan MacKenzie and Cooper Williams. Verhoeff, who played a key role for UND, had six goals and 20 points in 36 games last season. Carels recorded 20 goals and 73 points in the WHL. The NHL Draft will take place in Buffalo on June 26-27.
