Four Washington Huskies named to 2026 Comeback Player of the Year watch list

Four players from the Washington Huskies have been named to the 2026 college football Comeback Player of the Year award watch list. Wide receiver Rashid Williams, tight ends Kade Eldridge and Charlie Crowell, and running back Trey Cooley are recognized after missing significant time last season due to injuries. Williams suffered a collarbone injury while Crowell missed two consecutive seasons due to knee injuries. Eldridge played seven games last year before a foot injury ended his season. The recognition follows a strong season from quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who won the award in 2023.
