Four young fast bowlers advance through the WPL Speed Queen initiative

The WPL Speed Queen initiative has identified four young fast bowlers currently training at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. Akshita Bhagat, Palak Singh, Joshna Angel, and Rohita Chowdry were selected from a pool of 13,000 aspirants who participated in the program. Akshita Bhagat, a 19-year-old from Mohali, has already been named to the India A one-day squad for an upcoming series against Australia A. The remaining three bowlers are focusing on development and potential selection for the India U-19 team. The players are working with coach Krishna Kumar to improve their technique, conditioning, and tactical understanding of the game. These athletes now have access to elite training facilities and professional coaching as they prepare for higher levels of domestic and international competition.
