France Football will host the Ballon d'Or ceremony in London

France Football has scheduled the annual Ballon d'Or gala for October 26 in London. The event will move from its traditional home in Paris to the British capital to pay tribute to Sir Stanley Matthews, who was the first recipient of the award. Organizers will announce the list of 30 nominees for each category on September 8. An international jury composed of specialized journalists will determine the winners based on criteria including individual performance, team achievements, and fair play throughout the season. This year’s ceremony also commemorates the 70th anniversary of the award, with plans to honor the best young talents, goalkeepers, coaches, and clubs in both men’s and women’s football.
