Franco Colapinto confirmed a contract extension with Alpine, ensuring the Argentinian driver remains with the team for the 2027 season. The 23-year-old will continue alongside teammate Pierre Gasly, maintaining an unchanged line-up for the squad. Colapinto expressed appreciation for the support provided by executive advisor Flavio Briatore and the technical improvements made by the team throughout the campaign. Currently sitting 12th in the Drivers’ Championship with 19 points, Colapinto will test an updated car configuration during the Italian Grand Prix. These performance gains arrive as Alpine attempts to close a three-point gap to Racing Bulls in the Teams’ Championship. Both Alpine drivers are scheduled to run the upgraded package throughout the weekend at Monza.
