Franco Mastantuono joins Fiorentina on loan from Real Madrid
Summary

Argentina international Franco Mastantuono signed a loan deal with Fiorentina following a €45 million transfer to Real Madrid in 2025. The teenager, who struggled to secure regular playing time in Madrid, cited the club’s focus on youth and the influence of head coach Fabio Grosso as primary reasons for his decision. During his move to Florence, he received guidance from Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho regarding the importance of consistent minutes. Mastantuono met with club legend Gabriel Batistuta to discuss the city and the team's history. He aims to improve his physical and tactical game within Serie A while maintaining his goal of returning to the Argentina national team. The midfielder looks forward to upcoming matches as he attempts to settle into the squad.
