François Modesto leaves Juventus after one year as technical director

François Modesto is officially no longer the technical director at Juventus as of July 10, 2026. His departure comes nearly one year after his hiring on July 11, 2025. The club faced criticism for not qualifying for the Champions League this past season, a failure linked to the management shakeup since Damien Comolli’s exit. Juventus' new CEO Giovanni Carnevali is beginning a restructuring of the front office that also includes the appointment of Frederic Massara as Chief Football Officer.
