Franklin Pele extends deal with South Sydney Rabbitohs to 2027

Franklin Pele has re-signed with the South Sydney Rabbitohs for the 2027 season, following a period in the NSW Cup after returning to Australia in 2026. The prop, who was previously with the Cronulla Sharks and Canterbury Bulldogs, has shown promise in the NSW Cup this year, leading to his extended contract. Pele, who stands 194 centimeters tall and weighs 132 kilograms, has a background including stints in the English Super League and rugby union in France. His team hopes he can regain his place in the NRL, similar to teammate Matt Dufty’s success after transitioning from the Super League.
