Fred Couples makes pitch shot during Sanford International sponsor event

Fred Couples participated in a closest-to-the-pin contest on Wednesday at the Sanford International in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. During the PGA Tour Champions sponsor event, the 66-year-old golfer hit a pitch shot from less than 50 yards toward the hole. After striking the ball, Couples turned away from the green to resume a conversation without observing the ball's flight path. The ball tracked toward the hole after hitting a slope and dropped into the cup approximately 10 seconds later. The shot occurred during a gathering of guests ahead of the tournament competition.
