Fred Richard wins first U.S. all-around title at gymnastics championships

Fred Richard claimed his first all-around title at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships on August 8 in Phoenix, finishing with a score of 170.015, just ahead of Shane Wiskus. Richard maintained a comfortable lead after Wiskus struggled in the floor exercise, while Danila Leykin took third. Although Richard did not qualify for the individual events at the world championships, he is expected to be part of the five-man team. Previously, Richard had finished third in 2023 and was runner-up in the two years prior. His victory marks a significant milestone in his gymnastics career.
